First Day of Summer? Pah!!

How can anyone in their right mind even think that the Summer Solstice represents the "first day of summer"? It's the longest day of the year, for Pete's sake! It's MIDSUMMER'S DAY! "Midsummer's day" pretty much sums it up: IT'S THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER! It's heading for Autumn!
